Tourists in Los Angeles were shocked to learn this week that the body of a Canadian woman had been found at the bottom of a water tank at their hotel in the city’s downtown area. Elisa Lam, 21, was last seen at the Cecil Hotel on Jan. 31, according to L.A. police. Her parents reported her missing earlier this month, and a maintenance worker discovered the body Tuesday as he was looking into complaints about the water pressure in the building. It seems very possible that guests have been drinking and bathing with water contaminated by a body that has been decomposing for nearly two weeks.

Black Panther Torture “Trial” Tape Surfaces

 Kenneth Cherry, aka Kenny Clutch (pictured top left), was killed when men inside a black Range Rover opened fire on his car while he was sitting at a red light. He accelerated into the intersection and crashed into a taxi. Cab driver Michael Boldon (top right) and his passenger (who has not been named) died when the taxi burst into flames. Family members said Boldon had recently moved to Las Vegas to care care of his ailing mother.

The driver of a Maserati who was killed in a drive-by shooting on the Las Vegas strip on Thursday bragged about stashing a gun in his $120,000 Italian sports car.

We've never known Kelly Clarkson to not say exactly what she thinks, and true to form, the singer is giving her honest opinion of Clive Davis' new memoir, "Soundtrack of My Life."

In an open letter tweeted from her official account, the singer says she has a different recollection of some events Davis reportedly includes in his book, which details his work with a wide variety of A-list artists as well as personal details,like his bisexuality.

"I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music," Clarkson begins, after a proper Texan greeting, in her letter posted to WhoSay on Tuesday. "I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don't have to cower to anyone – even Clive Davis."

Former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. enters U.S. District Court Wednesday

Washington (CNN) -- Dabbing at his eyes with a handkerchief, former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one federal charge related to years of using campaign funds for personal expenses that included purchases of Michael Jackson memorabilia and a Rolex watch.

"Guilty, your honor," Jackson responded to U.S. District Judge Robert Wilkins after looking back at family members in the courtroom, including his father, civil rights activist Jesse Jackson.

"I used monies that should have been used for campaign purposes," Jackson acknowledged to the judge. When Wilkins asked if Jackson realized that the guilty plea meant giving up the right to a trial, he responded: "I have no interest in wasting the taxpayers' time or money."

Wilkins set sentencing for June 28.
