Hundreds of letter carriers from throughout Connecticut came to the New Haven Green along with a U.S. Senator and Congresswoman to send a message to the U.S. postmaster general: Keep Saturday deliveries intact. Or else.
They delivered the message at a lively noon rally Sunday.
The rally, organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 20, had a simple cry: “Six days yes! Five days no!”SOURCE

Atlanta (CNN) -- Atlanta police have issued an arrest warrant for rapper Gucci Mane who allegedly struck a man on the head with a champagne bottle at a downtown Atlanta nightclub.
The man told police he tried to begin a conversation with the rapper at the Harlem Nights Ultra Lounge club when he was "suddenly struck."
The attack left a deep gash on the man's head, Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said.

NEW HAVEN — You can take Daymond John out of the “Shark Tank,” but he still has plenty of bite.
John, the fashion branding guru and panelist on TV’s “Shark Tank,” told an audience at Yale University Thursday that entrepreneurship is color blind.
“The only color that everybody likes is green,” John said, at an appearance sponsored by the Yale University African American Affinity Group. “Sell. Sell. Sell. That solves all your issues.”

After a performance episode that included a few show-stopping Beatles numbers and Nicki Minaj getting bleeped, it was time to send someone to the cold, dark world of Idol oblivion, aka back home. So who got the boot and who lives on to sing another day?
Ryan Seacrest tried to toy with the contestants for as long as humanly possible (seriously, these elimination episodes are like some form of cruel and unusual punishment), but in the endPaul Jolley, Devin Velez, and Amber Holcomb(!) were sent to the Bottom 3 stools of doom. Despite a very lackluster performance, Lazaro Arbos managed to squeak by thanks to his devoted (if possibly tone deaf) fan base.
