Boxer Evander Holyfield, 50, went from rags to riches at 21 and struggled with money after his rise to heavyweight champion.
Atlanta (CNN) -- Retirement terrifies sports stars. The end of a glittering career can feel like falling off a cliff to an athlete who thrives on fame and fortune. And the longer the career, the harder the end game seems to be.
For living legends, it's especially tough to know how to quit. World heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield turned 50 this year -- but he still wants to box professionally.
"I'm not retired," he says. "If I can get a championship fight, I will."
He won't fight just anyone, though -- only top boxers. Because he holds five heavyweight titles, he tells CNN that young boxers could want to challenge him just because they have something to prove.
Holyfield can still draw a crowd, nearly 30 years after his professional debut. During a recent visit to CNN Center in Atlanta, fans swarmed him, taking pictures and shaking his hand.

With over 16 rap years already under his belt, N.O.R.E. is ready for a change. When the Queens, New York, MC premieres his new music video for "Tadow" this Sunday as MTV Jams' Jam of the Week, he will do so not under his Noreaga moniker, but as P.A.P.I., the rap name that he has chosen to release his upcoming Student of the Game LP under.
"Tadow" features 2 Chainz, Pusha T, French Montana, and of course P.A.P.I., who, despite the name change, offers up the same free-wheeling, street-bred delivery that made N.O.R.E. fans first fall in love. So why the change?

(CNN) -- Let's begin with a disclaimer: Nas doesn't endorse the following sentence.
But he's the greatest lyricist of all time.
Those words were carefully chosen: "lyricist" over "rapper" or "hip-hop artist;" "greatest" instead of "most successful;" "all time" rather than "today."
Those distinctions are important. Still, Nas isn't buying it.
"It's wayyyyyy, way, way too early in our lives," he said when asked where he fits among history's best MCs. "It's great to put a list together, but don't take it too seriously because your list won't matter 10 years from now or 15 years from now. It'll be a different list."
OK, no lists then; just a strong case for Nas being the best rhymesmith ever, the GOAT, numero uno, and a humble concession that this is but one man's opinion and yours are enthusiastically welcomed below.
With "Life is Good," Nas dropped his ninth No. 1 hip-hop album since 1994. Seven of those have gone platinum, which places him second among rappers only to Jay-Z with 11. (We're not counting compilations or collaborations here, only original solo efforts, and yes, Tupac Shakur had nine, but five were posthumous releases.)

“This clearly is the time for action,” Jackson says. “It’s so painful to think about those babies dying… We need a comprehensive plan here. Jobs in and guns and drugs out — instead of guns and drugs in and jobs out.”

Azoff’s contract hadn’t been due to expire until mid-2014. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino’s contract, also due to expire in 2014, was recently renewed until 2017. The department’s Facebook page has helped solved two cases, resulting in three arrests, in the past week.
On Monday morning at around 6:30 a.m., Coty Prentice found her car window smashed and her purse stolen while it sat in the parking lot of her work, the Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 85. Prentice, obviously upset, called the Waterford Police Department to file a report, although was skeptical it would do much good.
“Not at all,” Prentice said, when asked if she thought the police would find the people who burglarized her car. “I thought they were long gone.”
But just a few hours later, two suspects were in custody for burglarizing Prentice’s car, and the couple was found with several other stolen items as well. How were the two caught so quickly?
