On Friday, May 15, 2026, 5pm community leaders, professionals, educators, elected officials, Divine 9 members, friends, and supporters will gather at Q Bar & Kitchen in New Haven to recognize a leader whose roots in our city continue to shape her commitment to public service and progress.
Representative Young’s journey began in New Haven Public Schools (Hillhouse c/o '91) and continued through Central Connecticut State University before leading her to the Pennsylvania State House, where she now champions policies that create opportunities for working families, students, and communities. Her success is a reflection of the strength, resilience, and promise of the community that helped raise her.
This reception is more than a networking event — it is an opportunity to show that New Haven stands behind leaders who continue to open doors, inspire future generations, and make meaningful impacts beyond our city limits.
