Hip Hop Fusion Breakdance Easter Special 2014

19.04.2014, Easter season will kick off Hip Hop Fusion along with the Urban DanceFest Project in the „Eventpalast“ at the „Alte Messe“ in Leipzig. It will start with a breakdance battle and a huge after-show party split up in three different sections. The event will start in the afternoon and go until the early hours of the next morning. Dancers from Germany and other european countries will compete elimination-style. You are still able to register for the show or freestyle sessions.

The contest begins by introducing the event and the jury, Evil Eye (Battalion East), Mitch (LE Alive), and Gazelle (Flowjob). DJ Nobody from Stuttgart (known from Battle of the Month) will start off the battle with a musical warm up. The hot phase of the battle will be fought by legend DJ Help from France. He has previously appeared at large events, such as Battle of the Year. On the second stage (Lounge/Backstage), the Bboys will be warming up.

The evening schedule will be filled with Spax and other hip hop heads. There are still open spots for artists for the freestyle sessions and the live shows. Check the official websites for more information. Hip Hop Fusion offers participants a perfect platform to present themselves and their talents.

The Hip Hop Fusion community and event are meant to increase understanding about this youth culture as well as to bring the community closer together. Subjects like DJing, rap, graffiti, breakdance, and skating will be addressed using contests, workshops, live shows, and more.We gladly invite artists and volunteers to participate in the dance, rap, and freestyle workshops and sessions. Furthermore, we are still actively seeking engaged individuals for our team. Our main goal is to reach the young generation and to support them. We are also trying to incorporate physical activity in our agenda, for example basketball, dancing (breakdance, hip hop dance, streetdance), and skating. If we receive the support we need, we will be able to offer many more beginner and intermediate courses and workshops.

Hip hop culture is all about the combined exchange of cultures and working together.

The Contender Season 2 champion Grady Brewer has faced several top prospects in his career, including Demetrius Andrade and Erislandy Lara, and also owns two recent wins against undefeated fighters.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 18th, 2014) -- As far as out-of-town fighters are concerned, Chris Chatman has had so much success at Twin River the casino might want to consider adding his name to the deed.

The hard-hitting fan-favorite from Jersey City will return to his second home Friday, March 28th, 2014 when he faces The Contender alum Grady Brewer in the eight-round middleweight main event of Classic Entertainment & Sports' upcoming professional boxing card at the Event Center.

The event also features the return of Cape Cod, Mass., heavyweight Jesse Barboza (7-1-1, 5 KOs); unbeaten Providence middleweight KJ Harrison-Lombardi (5-0-1); welterweight Nick DeLomba (2-0) of Cranston, R.I., and undefeated Springfield, Mass., welterweight Zack Rasmey (6-0, 3 KOs).

Tickets for the event are priced at $41, $76 and $126 (VIP) and can be purchased by calling 401-724-2253/2254, online at www.cesboxing.com or www.ticketmaster.com, or at the Players Club at Twin River. All fights and fighters are subject to change.

Originally from San Diego, Chatman (11-3-1, 5 KOs) first won over the Rhode Island crowd in 2009 when he fought tooth and nail against former Olympian and Providence native Demetrius Andrade, at the time the toughest fight of Andrade's young career. He returned two years later with a knockout win over Rahman Yusubov and made his third appearance at Twin River in July of 2013 by beating hometown favorite Thomas Falowo by unanimous decision.

The muscular, 5-foot-8 southpaw has become an unlikely fan-favorite in Rhode Island with both his colorful interviews at press conferences and no-nonsense approach in the ring. Now, with the crowd firmly in his corner, he'll face the veteran Brewer (30-18, 16 KOs), who fought alongside Rhode Island's Gary "Tiger" Balletto on Season 2 of The Contender and won the $500,000 cash prize by beating former world-title challenger Steve Forbes by split decision in the finals.

Like Chatman, Brewer is no stranger to New England; the Lawton, Okla., native fought in 2008 on the undercard of the CES and the Tournament of Contenders' co-promotion at The Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, beating Season 2 teammate and former light middleweight world champion Cornelius Brundage by split decision. In 2009, he stopped unbeaten Nigerian prospect Albert Onolunose in the second round of their scheduled 12-round bout and two years later handed world-title challenger Fernando Guerrero -- 21-0 at the time -- the first loss his career via fourth-round knockout. Brewer has also faced World Boxing Association (WBA) light middleweight champion Erislandy Lara, current World Boxing Organization (WBO) champ Andrade and unbeaten Russian prospect Matt Korobov in his 15-year career.

With Chatman-Brewer at the top, the undercard is stacked with the region's top talent, including rising stars DeLomba and Harrison-Lombardi, who've quickly become household names in Rhode Island. A protégé of Balletto, DeLomba will fight a four-round bout in his first appearance since September while Harrison-Lombardi will aim to keep his perfect record intact in a four-round bout against Jason Bakanowski (0-1) of Worcester, Mass., following his win over Antonio Fernandes in February.

Coming off a knockout win over veteran Arthur Saribekian in November, Barboza will look to stay on track against East Stroudsburg, Pa., heavyweight Glenn Thomas in a four-round bout while Ramsey takes on veteran Shakha Moore (11-19-3, 2 KOs) of Norwalk, Conn., in a six-rounder.

Louisiana cruiserweight Alvin Varmall Jr. (2-0, 2 KOs), who made his Twin River debut in February with a knockout win over Andre Ward, will return to face Devon Mosley (0-0-1) of Capitol Heights, Md., in a four-round bout and Chattanooga, Tenn., lightweight prospect Ryan Martin (3-0, 2 KOs) will face Justin Robbins (2-5, 1 KO) of Springfield, Ill., in a four-round bout.

Bethlehem, PA: "Czar" Glazkov did what only two out of 51 men before him managed to do - defeat veteran brawler Tomasz "Goral" Adamek.  In a twelve round unanimous decision the 29 year-old Olympic Bronze Medalist from Lugansk, Ukraine (17-0-1, 11 KOs) remains undefeated as he upsets the 37 year-old veteran from Gilowice, Poland, Tomasz "Goral" Adamek (49-3-0, 29 KOs) to win the NABF North American Heavyweight Title and secure the #2 position in the IBF.  Two judges scored the bout 117-111 and one judge scored the bout 116-110.  Glazkov landed an amazing 37% (212 of 580) of his shots on the veteran Adamek, who landed only 21% (161 of 761). Czar said, "I would like to thank Main Events and Kathy Duva for giving me this opportunity and taking me to this road. I also want to thank Tomasz Adamek for taking this bout and giving me this opportunity. He was risking more than I did. Tomasz was not a guy who was backing up, he was coming forward. It was a very good bout."\

The standing room only crowd at Sands Resort Casino in Bethlehem, PA was battling to see who could scream louder for their hero with the "Adamek" chants only slightly overpowering the "Glazkov" cheers.  Glazkov controlled the first round with his jab and did not let Adamek do much.  Glazkov was landing some big shots.  Adamek started to gain momentum in the third but then his right eye started to swell in the fourth.  Things started to slow down in the sixth round.  Then Glazkov landed some heavy shots in the seventh; Adamek did too but he was not as effective.  Adamek's face looked significantly worse as the fight wore on, but he still managed to land some key shots.  According to Compubox, in the last two rounds Adamek out-landed Glazkov 55-38 in total punches and 32-22 in power punches, though it was not enough to overcome Glazkov.

Main Events' CEO Kathy Duva said, "This is a passing of the torch.  Glazkov did everything he absolutely had to do to win this fight against a very tough and very accomplished opponent. Tonight he announced his arrival to everyone that he belongs among the top five heavyweights.  Adamek is someone who has been a top ten heavyweight for the last six to ten years. I am really at a loss to say who amazed me more."

Grachev vs. Chilemba

The international show on NBCSN Fight Night began with a ten round light heavyweight war between #2 Isaac "Golden Boy" Chilemba (22-2-2, 9 KOs) of Johannesburg, South Africa and #7 Denis "The Pirate/Drago's Son" Grachev (13-3-1, 8 KOs) of Chaykoysky, Russia. Chilemba dominated over Grachev and won via unanimous decision.  Two judges scored the fight 99-91 and one scored the fight 100-90 all in favor of Chilemba.  According to Compubox, Chilemba averaged 13 jabs connected per round, which is more than double the division average.  Chilemba landed an astounding 42% (326 of 772) of his punches compared to 18% (108 of 587) for Grachev.  Chilemba said, "I am feeling good, it was great.  I knew he was going to be tough but I was pleased with the outcome."

The first round started slow as both guys were feeling each other out.  Grachev was really coming forward, but Chilemba was able to keep the distance, utilizing his jab.  There were a lot of great exchanges with both men landing big shots. Chilemba was controlling the fight, however, with his jab.   Grachev got a bad cut by the corner of his left eye that continued to bleed for the duration of the fight.  Both men looked battered at the end of this exciting brawl.

The much-anticipated ten round welterweight fight for local bragging rights between Ronald Cruz (20-3-0, 15 KOs) of Bethlehem, PA and Kermit Cintron (35-5-2, 28 KOs) of Reading, PA certainly had this sold-out crowd making noise.  Cruz and Cintron did not disappoint their hometown crowd with a brutal battle that was almost too close to call.  Despite having the majority of the crowd support, Cruz could not overcome Cintron.  Cintron edged out Cruz for the unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the bout 96-94.  Cruz's connect rate was higher, landing 34% of his total punches thrown compared to 22% for Cintron, but both landed almost the same number of punches with Cintron connecting on 154 of 703 and Cruz connecting on 152 of 453.
