Saturday: Treasurer Russell to Address Crowd, Throw Ceremonial First Pitch at Hartford Yard Goats Game
Treasurer Erick Russell will briefly address the crowd, and throw the ceremonial first pitch, before a Hartford Yard Goats game on Saturday evening. As trustee of the Connecticut Higher Education Trust (CHET), Treasurer Russell will be encouraging families in the stands to open a CHET 529 college savings account, and Connecticut K-12 students to enter the CHET Dream Big! Competition.
NOTE: Friday’s game was postponed due to inclement weather and will be completed (resuming in the fourth inning) before tonight’s regularly scheduled game begins. Treasurer Russell’s remarks will take place between the two games.
