New Haven – Mayor Toni N. Harp today advanced through conventional and social media the message from those who organized a New Haven-based, grassroots hurricane relief effort seeking donations to help stricken residents there.

Hurricane Maria wreaked havoc across Puerto Rico yesterday – many New Haven residents with family and friends in Puerto Rico remain unable to reach them today.
Mayor Harp said the city will continue its efforts to match local relief initiatives with those in need in Puerto Rico.
