It's been quite a few years since Clueless hit theatres and became a cult-favorite amongst people everywhere, but now seemed like a good time for actress Stacey Dash to speak out on a topic she's pretty passionate about, the 2012 presidential election.
It all started when Stacey, who's 46 years old, tweeted out that she's voting for Mitt Romney this year, calling him "the only choice for your future."
She followed that tweet up with, "my humble opinion, everyone is entitled to one."
Well, shortly after, she received an influx of racist and terrorizing tweets from angry people who don't agree with her choice.
This led her to do an impromptu interview with Piers Morgan on CNN, where she cleared the air and spoke out on how disappointing the backlash was.
She said, "I don't understand it. I don't get it...I was shocked, saddened. Not angry. Saddened and really shocked. But you know what, you can't expect everyone to agree with you."
Even though she voted for Obama in 2008, Romney is the guy for her now, because she's concerned about the state of the country and wants the next four years to be different.
Stacey said she thinks Governor Romney and his wife are authentic and genuine, and thinks they see the need for us to be united and move forward.
Republican VP candidate Paul Ryan has since called Stacey and thanked her for her support and called her brave—he even sent her a tweet too.
But of course, there's always gonna be some people who still disagree!
Actor Samuel L Jackson tweeted, "Wait, did Stacey Dash really endorse Romney today? Really!?!? Is she cray!?!"
Russell Simmons also wrote a whole blog post about it—he doesn't agree with her choice, but certainly respects it.
