YAAA would like to thank the LGBTQ Affinity Group, Yale Latino Networking Group, Future Leaders of Yale, DiversAbility at Yale, Chi Omicron Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Yale Police Department for collaborating with YAAA on our 2021 Winter Clothing Drive. Ebony Horsewomen, Inc. (EHI) in collaboration with Dr. Rebecca Cohen, Malcolm Ashley and Shafiq Abdussabur, are excited to announce their Horses to Humans Therapeutic help for New Haven communities!

They will be bringing their horses, therapists and community trauma specialist who will discuss and introduce equine assisted psychotherapy and unpack the process of how horses help to heal people. The information and training about this treatment modality is geared specifically for the community as well as clinicians and mental health professionals who would like to learn about how to become a certified equine assisted psychotherapist!

EHI's Junior Patrol Members will also be attending and introducing youth to their horses. See the flyer below for more info...

Collab, in partnership with District, Art and Education (DAE), is offering on our 6 week Groundwork workshop series specifically for high school students ages 14-19, starting on October 18th at District, Arts and Education, 470 James St. in New Haven, from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. 

Groundwork is a workshop series geared at creating space for young people to explore the possibilities of entrepreneurship. In Groundwork, participants will;
  • Discover their personal "why".
  • Navigate the ideation process.
  • Find their target audience.
  • Overcome the fear of being an entrepreneur.
  • And so much more.
The program is completely free to students. If you know any high school students looking to explore entrepreneurship, please pass this information along.

The FEMA mobile vaccination clinic is returning to New Haven, this time to Edgewood Park. This free, walk-up vaccine clinic will be available from 10 AM – 5 PM starting tomorrow Saturday, June 12th and running through Thursday, June 17th

We’re expecting a party like atmosphere in Edgewood Park because FEMA has partnered with WYBC and their street team. There will be a DJ, food offered to those that come and get vaccinated, as well as additional promotions and giveaways.
