CITY OFFICIALS TO CLOSE COLLEGE STREET FOR FRIDAY’S FUNERAL SERVICE
FOR MAYOR DANIELS

New Haven – City officials have issued a traffic advisory ahead of
Friday’s scheduled funeral service for former Mayor John C. Daniels,
who served from 1990 – 1993.

Mayor Daniels’ family made the following arrangements:

Friday, March 20, 2015 at Battell Chapel, 400 College Street, New
Haven

        10:00 - 11:00 a.m. – viewing
        11:00 a.m. – service, with eulogy given by Reverend John Henry
Scott

Following the service there will be a funeral procession to Beaverdale
Cemetery on Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven, near the campus of Southern
Connecticut State University.

The following traffic advisory was issued:

College Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic between Elm
Street and Chapel Street from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday March
20, 2015 due to Mayor Daniels’ funeral service.
